The Resort at Pelican Hill VA Scope: Acoustical Consultation and Audio-Visual Design  Location: Newport Coast, CA Design Team: Altevers Associates, The Irvine Company Completion: 2006 Cost: $300 million The Resort at Pelican Hill is a luxury destination property with a 202-room inn, 120-unit residence club, golf clubhouse, high-end restaurant, spa, meeting and event rooms and specialty shops. Conceived of as far back as the early 1970s when the Irvine Coast Master Area Plan was developed, its will provide much desired destination amenities to support two championship golf courses. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the campus is designed with a discrete silhouette and comfortable, residential feel. Veneklasen Associates designed Audio-Video systems for: 332 guest suites and villas including flat panel televisions and surround sound audio; state-of-the-art audio video and control systems for large meeting, and ballrooms; state-of-the-art video and audio conferencing for boardrooms; background music distribution to retail, and amenity areas including poolside; digital signage for concierge lobby; video display wall for pool side grille/bar; and multi-channel background music distribution for the luxury spa. |
