Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele - The Spa and Wellness Center
VA Scope:
Audio-Visual Consultation & System Design

Design:
Pacific Asia Design Group
Completion:
2005
Cost: $250 million
Located in the central highlands of the private island of Lana'i, the resort overlooks the nearby island of Maui and is valued for its private and unspoiled location. The Lodge itself is surrounded by pine trees, and features rustic touches such as heavy timbers, beamed ceilings, and stone fireplaces. An expansive renovation and rebranding of the existing property was completed in 2006, and the Spa and Wellness Center is scheduled to open in 2008.
A new concept in destination resorts, the Spa and Wellness Center will be part state-of-the-art medical clinic and spa. Medical facilities with physicians providing diagnostic and outpatient recuperative services will be on the premises, in addition to a full-service spa and fitness center. This is the sister facility to the Four Seasons Westlake Village Resort and Wellbeing Center, also a Veneklasen Associates project.
Veneklasen Associates provided a comprehensive background music system, as well as centralized audio-visual system design throughout the Spa and Wellness Center. Video conferencing is provided for doctors offices and examination rooms, while a number of larger presentation systems are provided with video conferencing capabilities for various group meeting spaces. Utilizing a centralized AV design allowed ultimate flexibility and efficiency through sharing AV resources.
