A 25-story office tower with design features reminiscent of the historic 1938 Union Station immediately adjacent to the new high-rise. Designer as a prominent development within newly established downtown transportation hum, the MTA Bus Plaza accommodates as many as 100 buses each hour and more than 115,000 transit passengers daily. The complex features a 350-seat Boards Rom, customer service centers, offices, multiple conference rooms and four levels of underground parking.
Tremendous thought was given by MTA and the design team to create opportunities to express the rich character of Southern California including architectural imagery derived from Hispanic-Deco of the 1930s, a series of murals depicting the distinct attributes of individual decades and a dynamic public arts program showcasing the talent within the City . The tower was completed on –time an don-budget without a single change order.
